Edge Retain IC Title

After the Intercontinental Championship match last week, Rob Van Damn went to the VGWF Board Of Directors and demanded a rematch after what he thought was a rigged, unofficial handicap match. The match was booked as a singles match, all teammates baned from ringside, and as a ladder match.

Both men showed why they are masters of the Ladder match, using it as a weapon, launching themselves from it, and fighting on top of it. After possibly the greatest match in VGWF history, Edge knocked the ladder over, leaving RVD hanging from the title. Edge climbed to the top rope and speared RVD before resetting the ladder and taking down the Intercontinental championship.

Primo, Rhodes Injured

The scheduled match between Cody Rhodes and Primo never happened due to an attack by the Brothers Of Destruction.

When Rhodes didn't come to the ring, the ref was about to award Primo the match by forfeit. Before he could, a cameraman found Rhodes backstage unconscious and bleeding. Then the lights went off and flames escorted the Brothers Of Destruction to the ring. After attacking Primo, Undertaker said that he would be the first to fall before their rage, and more would fall until they got their tag titles back.

After an assault that included three tables, a cookie sheet, several chairs, a fan's cane, two kendo sticks and the ring steps, Stone Cold Steve Austin made a surprise return from injury and chased the Brothers Of Destruction off with a steel chair.

Rhodes and Primo were taken to a local hospital and they are expected to be out of action for the next few months.
